Howdy! This newspost was supposed to come out a LOT earlier, but you know what they say: better late than never! (they still say that, right?) Either way, y'all deserve an update. Due to Life and Things, all this is coming out much later than expected, but I expect to be back on track sooner rather than later!

The Changing of the Guard

As you may be aware, Victoria has stepped down as admin/owner of Amicabots. She will still be a part of the moderation team and will create adopts, but intends to take on a less active role on the team. 

Meanwhile, you may have noticed that I (fishainsley) am now an administrator apropo of absolutely nothing. When I heard Victoria intended to sunset Amicabots, I contacted her and we were able to come to an agreement that would allow me to take over administration and hosting of Amicabots.com, allowing it to continue on. If I'm being honest, my only qualifications are hubris, disposable income, and passion, so I'm extremely grateful that Victoria granted me this opportunity, and I fully intend to make the best of it. I love Amicabots and its community, and I want to do right by y'all as well as Victoria and the mod team. 

What to Expect

It's been slow lately, and I apologize for that. I won't keep y'all waiting much longer, though. I graduate from university on December 19th, and then it's all-in on Amicabots! The first thing you should expect is thank you gift for sticking with us! This will take the form of a new pet and possibly an award, which I intend to deliver by the end of January. There may be up to a few days of downtime in late January or early February to migrate hosts, but the goal is a seamless transition.

After that, the hope is to host events to bring in new members and revitalize the community— something like a referral event, or raffles, as well as all the fun prompts and events you've come to expect. I also hope to implement more dailies and games for y'all to enjoy, but that requires updating Lorekeeper, which is a more complex task. I look forward to a new year with y'all, with lots of new memories and characters. Thanks once again for your patience, and I hope to continue seeing y'all on the site and Discord.
