Howdy! Apologies if you've noticed some slowdown in approvals, I've gotten a new job. Which is great, because it means I can afford hosting the site. But it also means I have less time to spend on the site :(

There is one new monthly prompt, a new Build-a-Bot, and a recycled monthly prompt here. There's also a few hours left to complete last month's prompts.

It's August! Artfight may be over, but our Artfight Raffle has been extended! All gift art submissions to the site earn a ticket to win one of three Artfight team themed designs! I worked really hard on these designs, so I hope they go to good homes!

In addition, new monthly prompts are out. Perhaps your character will learn something new, or get caught in the rain. Or maybe, you'll make a new character based on a song you love!

Howdy, I hope everyone had a wonderful Pride Month. I attended a few events locally and had a wonderful time. I met some lovely people and bought a few too many stickers. 

There's still about 24 hours to complete the June prompts, so get 'em in while you still can! Remember that there's a raffle for additional rewards from Wolfie's prompts :)

This month is pretty light on monthly prompts as I imagine we'll all be quite busy with Artfight. This month's prompt asks you to draw your character engaging in art/creation, whatever form your character loves. There is also a build-a-bot prompt themed around space, because I'm STILL not over Project Hail Mary.

The kindness rewards for all gift art prompts have been doubled, and additionally, all submissions reward a raffle ticket to win one of three artfight team themed amicable robots, how exciting!

It's been a minute. My dog died, I lost access to my migraine medication, our toilet exploded, etc etc. Who cares, it's Pride Month and there's new prompts!

First off, DreilDream's generous raffles have been rolled. Congrats to the winners, Aeby-Baby and Cat18!

Show Your Pride is back! Draw your Amicabot, Nauticava, or Companion with their pride flag to win the limited Pridedroid pet and a Glimmer Dust to customize it!

Last but certainly not least, the very kind Wolfie7x3 has created some character-building prompts  with entries for a raffle with prizes including MYOs, trait items,and currency! Thank you so much for your generosity!

Two LEGENDARY new raffles have been posted here/under the Sales tab on the top bar. In addition, three high-rarity MYO slots will be raffled off to First Time Owners in the Discord server! If you like and want to support Amicabots, please let your friends know about these raffles or bump the Toyhouse thread, it's the best way right now.

The server transfer has been successfully completed! There are still some small things left to do, like move the domain name, and some small bugs to find and take back outside, but the big scary part that needed a lot of downtime is over and done with. This means I have more time to do fun stuff for you guys!! I don't know about y'all but I'm hyped. We've got some SUPER cool raffle designs getting cooked up, among other things. But for now, the MYO shop is restocked!

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 23:00 site time, Amicabots.com will go down for 24-36 hours in order to change hosting services. This disruption of service is not ideal, but it is necessary to ensure that user data is not lost and all site functions remain intact. 

Changing hosts is necessary for multiple reasons, but the primary goal is to allow greater access to site code so we can fix bugs like the one with foraging.

After the site goes back up, users will have the opportunity to claim a gift box containing some spare parts and an exclusive new pet. All your items, currency, and characters should  remain intact, but if there are issues feel free to submit a site ticket.

Howdy! This newspost was supposed to come out a LOT earlier, but you know what they say: better late than never! (they still say that, right?) Either way, y'all deserve an update. Due to Life and Things, all this is coming out much later than expected, but I expect to be back on track sooner rather than later!

The Changing of the Guard

As you may be aware, Victoria has stepped down as admin/owner of Amicabots. She will still be a part of the moderation team and will create adopts, but intends to take on a less active role on the team. 

Meanwhile, you may have noticed that I (fishainsley) am now an administrator apropo of absolutely nothing. When I heard Victoria intended to sunset Amicabots, I contacted her and we were able to come to an agreement that would allow me to take over administration and hosting of Amicabots.com, allowing it to continue on. If I'm being honest, my only qualifications are hubris, disposable income, and passion, so I'm extremely grateful that Victoria granted me this opportunity, and I fully intend to make the best of it. I love Amicabots and its community, and I want to do right by y'all as well as Victoria and the mod team. 

What to Expect

It's been slow lately, and I apologize for that. I won't keep y'all waiting much longer, though. I graduate from university on December 19th, and then it's all-in on Amicabots! The first thing you should expect is thank you gift for sticking with us! This will take the form of a new pet and possibly an award, which I intend to deliver by the end of January. There may be up to a few days of downtime in late January or early February to migrate hosts, but the goal is a seamless transition.

After that, the hope is to host events to bring in new members and revitalize the community— something like a referral event, or raffles, as well as all the fun prompts and events you've come to expect. I also hope to implement more dailies and games for y'all to enjoy, but that requires updating Lorekeeper, which is a more complex task. I look forward to a new year with y'all, with lots of new memories and characters. Thanks once again for your patience, and I hope to continue seeing y'all on the site and Discord.
